Love in Ten Sentences

I received an interesting challenge from one of my favorite bloggers. I discovered A Walk on the Bright Side when I first started blogging in June 2014. I love all of her poetry! Thank you Georgette Ann for including me in this challenge.

The challenge is to write a poem about love and title it “Love in Ten Sentences.” It must have 10 lines, each 4 words long. Every line must contain the word “love.” At the end of the poem, you must include a favorite quote about love. Then challenge ten other bloggers.

Wow! This is tough, but here goes:

I thought I loved

deeply, until I loved

you. Your love is

tender, your love is

strong. I’ll give love

to you, my love

if love is what

you seek. I’ll love

you forever, I’ll love

you with passionate love.

The way to know life is to love many things.

My poem has a “sing-songy” rhythm to it…not sure if that is good or bad?

And my nominations for this challenge are as follows:

What challenges have you given yourself when writing a poem?

Have a great Wednesday!

  1. This was beautifully written! I can relate to this type of love which you have described. What a great way to spread love & I LOVE that you nominated me. I haven’t worked on poetry in a while – so I am up for the challenge!!! 🙂
Thank you for thinking of me!! 🙂 <3 <3
