Girl on the Go: Writer’s Retreat

Hey everyone!

My schedule has not allowed me to post as often as I would like. I miss writing haiku. I miss dreaming of far off places to travel. And, I miss the interactiion with all my blogging friends.

I do have a post to share this week, and I hope to be able to start posting again very soon. Have a wonderful weekend!

This week my Girl on the Go adventure is taking me to a remote cabin for a writer’s retreat. Doesn’t that sound fun? I thought so. A long weekend with my journal, computer, coffee, wine and snacks!

Girl on the Go: Visit an Island in the Caribbean

It has been a crazy couple of weeks. I was given a project at my full-time job that I was not expecting. It has created lots of extra work, and job security, which is great, but my level of exhaustion has been high. I have missed spending time reading blogs and creating my own content.

Today is Halloween and to prep for the day, I started the Stephen King book, Salem’s Lot. Tonight, I am hoping to dish out candy to trick or treaters and then watch scary movies with my hubby. But before I head over to the couch to read the spooky Stephen King thriller, I thought I would post my weekly Girl on the Go adventure. I am dreaming of warmer weather!

Girl on the Go: Visit Santa Fe

I’ve been to Santa Fe a couple of times, and it’s one of my favorite places, so I want to go back. I love the landscape, the architecture, the art and cuisine. I also love the overall feel of the city. This week, my Girl on the Go adventure is to revisit Santa Fe.

Girl on the Go: Walk Across the Golden Gate Bridge

In my twenties, I traveled to California several times a year for work. I visited Sonoma Valley, Haight Ashbury, Balboa Park, rode a cable car, went to Fisherman’s Wharf, drove on the PCH, shopped in groovy boutiques and ate at in unique dining establishments. One year, my friend who lived in San Francisco, took me across the Golden Gate Bridge by car, but I never had the pleasure of walking across the bridge. So, this week, my Girl on the Go adventure is to walk the Golden Gate Bridge.

Girl on the Go: San Antonio, Texas

Hi!

A fellow blogger, Crystel, commented on last week’s Girl on the Go: Austin. She said she was from San Antonio. So, that is this week’s addition.

Put San Antonio, Texas, on my Girl on the Go list. This is getting a little overwhelming. My list is multiplying faster than I can check them off. Oh well! We have to dream!

Girl on the Go: Alaska

We made it to Friday once again! I can’t believe we are half way through August.

Put Alaska on my Girl on the Go list. I continue to add major vacation ideas to my Girl on the Go list and haven’t been able to check off any lately. With our recent move, it’s made things a little more difficult to get away. But, I can always dream.
